Nicolo Zaniolo’s agent is pleased to see Premier League giants Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur show an interest in the Roma ace, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.
Falling out with his side’s most naturally gifted playmaker? How very Jose Mourinho. These days, it is Zaniolo, rather than Paul Pogba or Juan Mata, who Mourinho appears to have singled out for all the wrong reasons.
According to Calciomercato, the Italy international was so disappointed after being left out of last weekend’s 3-0 thumping of Eternal Rivals Lazio that he is now considering a summer move away from the Stadio Olimpico.
He certainly wouldn’t be short of offers, despite suffering a pair of serious knee injuries in the last two years. Including one that ruled Zaniolo out of Italy’s triumphant Euro 2020 campaign.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fabio Paratici is desperate to bring Zaniolo to Tottenham. The former Inter Milan youngster is a long-term target for both Spurs and their managing director.
Claudio Vigorelli, Zaniolo’s agent, admitted to The Mail that Tottenham showed ‘concrete interest’ before signing Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis. Paratici, meanwhile, has previously opened up on his admiration for the dynamic attacking midfielder.
According to Roma Live, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have also approached Roma to enquire about Zaniolo’s availability.
Is Nicolo Zaniolo finally heading to the Premier League?
“We are calm about the future. We are focused on finishing the season well with Roma,” explains Vigorelli.

“We talk about the transfer market all year round. A champion like him is linked with great teams. It’s nice but at the moment he is a Roma player.
“It’s a beautiful project. The great thing was to see him back on the pitch after his second injury occurred a few months after the first one.
“Seeing him again, with a mental and physical condition that is important to recover, is important.”
Despite finding himself on the wrong side of Mourinho at times, Zaniolo has still managed to produce eight assists and four goals for Roma in all competitions.
