West Bromwich Albion completed the loan capture of Daniel Sturridge yesterday.

Kevin Campbell was a guest on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Tuesday 30th January, and delivered his verdict on the Baggies new loan signing Daniel Sturridge, labelling it as a great piece of business from his former club.
The 28-year-old moved to the Hawthorns on a season long loan from Liverpool yesterday, and West Brom fans will be hoping that his goals will fire their side to safety this season.
Alan Pardew’s men currently sit in 19th position in the Premier League table, three points adrift of safety, and their impotence in front of goal this season has really hampered their chances of excavating themselves from relegation trouble.

The Baggies have scored just 19 goals in the 24 Premier League games they have played thus far – the third worst tally in the division, so the signing of Sturridge could prove to be vitally important to their hopes of avoiding the drop.
Campbell, who made 49 appearances for West Brom, explained why the signing of the England international is superb business for his former club, during a guest appearance on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme:

“He’s got that little bit of extra quality, and I think he will be a great signing for West Brom. He needs to get back playing, get that smile on his face and enjoy his football.”
Sturridge could be in line to make his debut for the Baggies tomorrow, and he couldn’t have wished for a tougher introduction to life with West Brom, as Alan Pardew’s side head to the Etihad to take on Manchester City.
