Arsenal supporters have praised Gabriel Martinelli, after he was part of a group of players to console Sokratis after the full time whistle yesterday.

Arsenal lost 1-0 to Olympiacos on the night, but still progressed on aggregate in the tie.

Olympiacos had given their all at the Emirates Stadium, but it was not enough to swing the overall result in their favour.

Former Arsenal defender Sokartis was visibly gutted at full-time, but he received some comforting words from his former teammates.

Martinelli, Kieran Tierney and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang all wandered over to Sokratis at the full-time whistle to console the Greek central defender.

And many Arsenal fans were delighted with their players’ actions.

For Tierney and Aubameyang to go over to Sokratis isn’t too much of a surprise, given they are clearly leaders in the group.

However, for Martinelli to show so much class at such a young age is very impressive.

Arsenal will find out who they draw in the round later today, when the draw is made.
