West Ham United fans are delighted after Manuel Lanzini dismissed reports he will miss the entire 2018/19 season with a knee injury.

Manuel Lanzini has given West Ham United fans some positive news as the midfielder continues to recover from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
After being included in Argentina’s initial squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Lanzini injured his knee while in training with the team in the buildup to the tournament.

As a result, the 25-year-old had to be withdrawn and the Mirror reported that the South American would miss the entire 2018/19 season.

Apparently the injury was considered a ‘cruciate plus’ and was therefore worse than first thought and would rule Lanzini out of action for around 15 months.
This was a huge blow to the Hammers, for whom the Argentine is a key player and it was claimed new manager Manuel Pellegrini was quickly searching for replacements for the midfield ace.
However, Lanzini himself has now taken to Twitter to rubbish the reports and says that he will in fact be back in action by the start of next year.
Something which has pleased supporters.
