Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted with Antonio Conte, after he put a double session on at Hotspur Way yesterday.

Back to work

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham’s players are now back in training, after a covid outbreak shut meant that they had time off.

Even during their time away Conte had given Tottenham’s players individual training sessions to stick to.

But the Italian boss was immediately back to his demanding self as the players returned.

Tottenham’s squad may have been expecting to ease their way back into work.

But that is no longer an option under Conte.

Instead, Tottenham’s players had to do back to back sessions to try to ensure that they hadn’t lost any fitness.

There is an increasing level of optimism at Spurs that their game against Leicester City may go ahead on Thursday.

And Conte seemingly wants his squad to be in tip-top condition again at the earliest possible date.

His actions in training certainly have pleased Tottenham fans, who feel that his intense style is exactly what they need.

Fitness improving

Conte has already worked hard to improve the fitness levels at Spurs ever since he took charge.

His training sessions seemed to have worked so far, as Tottenham are running far more intensely under him than they ever did while Nuno was in charge.

Tottenham were bottom of the Premier League’s running stats during Nuno’s tenure, but they are rapidly improving their standing in that department now.

Spurs are also climbing up the table impressively.

Tottenham are now lurking just outside the top four, and if they can win their games in hand over their nearest rivals then they will push into the Champions League qualification spots.
