Jose Enrique has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to speculation that Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara are back in training with Liverpool ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton.
The Mirror has reported that midfielder Thiago and forward Mane returned to training at Melwood on Monday.
The Spain international midfielder and the Senegal international forward had tested positive for coronavirus, but after a period of isolation, they are now back in training, according to the report.
Former Liverpool star Enrique is delighted with the report, as shown by the following post on Instagram.
Bouncing back
Liverpool were hammered 7-2 by Aston Villa before the international break, and Jurgen Klopp’s side will be determined to bounce back against the Toffees.
Everton have won all four of their Premier League games so far this season and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the Merseyide derby at Goodison Park on Saturday.
However, with Mane and Thiago reportedly back in training and potentially set to start, the Reds will feel confident of winning the Merseyside derby.
