Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported on Twitter that Liverpool have made a bid for Benfica striker Nunez.

Talks between the two clubs are now underway, according to Romano, while reports elsewhere suggest that a medical could be held soon.

Darwin Nunez to Liverpool now likely to happen
In our view, all the signs indicate that Liverpool will sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica in the summer transfer window.
We should not be surprised if the deal gets completed in the coming days.
Nunez is a very good striker who would make Liverpool better and would give manager Jurgen Klopp another option in attack.
The 22-year-old Uruguay international striker scored 26 goals and gave four assists in the league and scored six goals in the Champions League for Benfica this past season.
