Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are very relieved over an update about Ben White.
The Gunners’ £50 million man came off injured in the Carabao Cup win over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
With White being bang in form lately, this was a big worry for Arsenal fans.
But Mikel Arteta has confimed that it was only a mere bug which resulted in him leaving the field.
Given that the England international has no injury to speak of, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he’s available to face Leicester City this weekend.
And suffice to say, some Arsenal fans are absolutely loving the boost.
Good start
It’s been a pretty good start to life as an Arsenal player for the former Brighton defender.
Being a £50 million centre-back comes with a lot of pressure but, it has to be said, he plays like he’s unburdened by the weight of his price-tag.
And that, really, is precisely what you want because further up the field, Nicholas Pepe plays like a man who knows he hasn’t proven worth the £72 million that the North Londoners paid for him.
There’s been a few hairy moments for White, and there’ll be a lot more, but that’s just part of growing up.
Remember, he only turned 24 a little earlier this month and that has to be remembered.
