John Terry wrote on Romelu Lukaku’s Instagram on Wednesday night that rumoured Tottenham target, Antonio Conte, is a ‘great manager’.
The 51-year-old, who has been linked with the vacant Tottenham role, left his managerial post at Inter on Wednesday despite winning the Serie A title this season.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that there seems to be a disagreement between Conte and those in charge of the club and what direction they should be heading.
Either way, it’s a twist in Tottenham’s search for a new manager and it will be interesting to see what direction they take now.
Italian outlet La Stampa claim that Conte has been offered a contract at Tottenham, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that Daniel Levy wants the ex-Chelsea boss as his next manager.
Either way, Aston Villa coach, Terry, sent this message whilst reacting to Lukaku’s heartfelt message to his manager yesterday:
“I loved him,” wrote Terry. “Great manager and great man.”

Either way, there are twist and turns everywhere in this managerial merry-go-round, with Zidane heading for the exit door at Real Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano.
And Massimiliano Allegri to return to Juventus, with Andrea Pirlo set to be sacked, according to Romano.
All of this has huge bearings on Tottenham because if they want someone like Conte then he might just end up elsewhere.
But amazingly enough, the Athletic report that Mauricio Pochettino could also return to North London, which makes this whole saga even crazier.
