Kevin Hatchard has stated that Enzo Fernandez would be a ‘great fit’ for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and he is a player with a ‘range of talents’.
The European football expert shared that Benfica don’t want to sell their 21-year-old talent, but they might have no choice given the wave he is riding.
Fernandez was a key figure behind Argentina securing World Cup glory in Qatar, which also included the all-action midfielder winning the Young Player of the Tournament.

Liverpool fans knew it already, but there needs to be wholesale changes at the club, with their most recent defeat to Brentford showcasing that.
Could someone like Fernandez be added alongside Cody Gakpo? Well, there is talk that he could be headed to the Premier League, but not to Anfield.
Either way, the Reds have been mentioned as a team keen on the player’s talents and Hatchard explained what type of player he is, as he told Transfer Talk on Sky Sports News.
“I think he could do a great job at a number of clubs,” said Hatchard. “I think Liverpool would be a great fit for them. Chelsea, I can understand why they want to bring him in.
“He’s somebody who just doesn’t have the technique, which we saw at the World Cup, scored a brilliant goal, but he also has that range of passing. But he’s a fighter as well. If you want somebody who is going to have that mentality when things aren’t going well and he’s going to scrap for you, then he would absolutely do that.
“Benfica have even been surprised by how good he has been. They went top of the Primeira Liga. They have reached the last-16 of the Champions League. I think they would ideally want to keep him for the rest of the season because they have a last-16 tie against Club Brugge and they will think ‘we can get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League here’.
“He’s somebody who is a deeper midfielder who has that passing range to get that stuff started. But he can drive forward and he can bring others into play. He’s brilliant at breaking up play, so he has a range of talents – he is a standard setter. He starts things off. I think he would be an improvement for Liverpool and Chelsea.”

LIVERPOOL OWNERS NEED TO ACT
The Merseyside club are at risk of losing Champions League football this season as their poor form continues in the Premier League.
Not only are Liverpool playing poorly, but Arsenal are a different animal this season, Manchester United are improving big time and Newcastle United are roaring loud – all three finished below them last season.
One way it can be fixed is by FSG, who want to sell up, to back Klopp in this market, so they can save the worry of not securing Champions League football because that means players like Jude Bellingham won’t sign in the summer.
