Owen Hargreaves has heaped praise on Joe Hart on BT Sport during their coverage of Ludogorets vs Tottenham (5/11/20 5:55PM kick-off time).
The pundit didn’t analyse Hart’s performance too much as he had very little to do against the Belarusian outfit, but one thing that caught his eye was his constant communication to his teammates.
Anyone who was watching the game would have been able to hear Hart very clearly with no fans in the ground, and Jake Humphrey made the point about Hart’s constant communication.
Hargreaves added to the presenter’s comments, saying:

“You know what, and he’s even mentoring the next generation.
“Joe’s a great guy and a great teammate, and I think he’s a great addition to that Tottenham team.
“And as you said, leading from the back, most of the shouts you heard in the stadium were from Joe Hart encouraging his team even though the ball was up the other end most of the time.”
Hargreaves knows exactly what Hart is like, having played with him at Manchester City.
The goalkeeper has always been very vocal on the pitch, and it’s good to see that a tough few years in his career haven’t taken away from his confidence.
Having a leader like Hart in the dressing room is never a bad thing, and while he may not usurp Hugo Lloris as Spurs’ starting goalkeeper, his influence at the club may still be huge.
Anyone who watched Tottenham’s Amazon Prime documentary would have seen how important big characters in the dressing room are, and Hart will certainly add an extra dynamic to that.
Of course, having a former Golden Glove-winning goalkeeper as your backup is never a bad thing either, so it’s more than just his leadership that Spurs will benefit from.
