‘Grealish won’t leave’: Some Aston Villa fans react to club’s post about Wes Edens

Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to the Milwaukee Bucks winning their first NBA title since 1971.

The Bucks, just like Villa, are co-owned by Wes Edens and fans have congratulated him on his triumph.

It was their 105-98 win over the visiting Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night that meant that the Bucks won the title 4-2 in the seven series encounter.

Villa fans drew comparisons with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jack Grealish, with both being star men for their respective teams.

Giannis stayed put and signed a new long-term contract then delivered gold and Villa fans are hoping Grealish will do the same.

Villa haven’t been crowned English champions in 40 years, so perhaps, albeit more difficult in the Premier League, their time will also come.

Either way, this is a sign for Villa and how, just like the Bucks, they are heading in the right direction.

It wasn’t so long ago that Villa were sitting mid-table in the Championship after avoiding going into administration.

And now they are going to be worthy challengers to finish in Europe next season.
