It’s up for debate, but Adama Traore may well just be one of the quickest footballers on the planet and Leeds United fans could just witness it first hand if they secure his services.

For Jack Grealish, who played with the Barcelona academy product at Aston Villa, there is no debate because he is certain that he is the quickest player in the world.

In October, the Villa playmaker told FootballJOE that Traore is ‘by a million miles’ the quickest player he’s played with and for him quicker than PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

On the quickest player he has played with: “Adama Traore by a million miles,” said Grealish.

“I still speak to him. We still keep in touch. He’s a good lad, Adama. I got on really well with him.

On Traore being joint-fastest with Mbappe in Fifa 21: “He shouldn’t be. He should be the highest. I know Mbappe’s fast and unbelievably fast and in the top five players in the world.

“But he is just the fastest person I have ever seen play football, ever in my whole life.”

Well, Leeds fans will be hoping they can see Traore burn his speed on the Elland Road turf because they are seemingly an interested party, according to EuroSport.

Traore is a player who fans will hate for their team to come up against, but absolutely love to have on their side because of how he can destroy you in an instant.

Last season, he improved his end product and he built a strong partnership with Raul Jimenez, who gobbled up a number of his crosses.

But his performances have stagnated for a number of months now, so could a certain highly-demanding and eagle-eyed coach in Marcelo Bielsa bring the best out of him?
