Liverpool are hoping to convince Herbie Kane to sign a new deal.

Doncaster Rovers boss Grant McCann has told the Sheffield Star that he is waiting to hear news of Herbie Kane’s contract extension with Liverpool.
Kane, 20, was in the Bristol City ranks before heading to Liverpool in 2013, where he has been progressing through the age ranks.
The midfielder needed first-team experience this season, and Liverpool chose to send him out on loan to League One side Doncaster Rovers back in August, and the move is paying dividends so far.
Kane has been in red-hot form of late, scoring five goals in his last six games, whilst with 24 games played this season, he is receiving the first-team football Liverpool wanted.
Unsurprisingly, Kane’s form has been picked up elsewhere, and scouts from up and down the country have been heading to South Yorkshire to watch him in action.
Now, Doncaster boss McCann has suggested that Doncaster are seeking a renewal on Kane’s loan deal, but it all depends on whether he signs a new contract with the Reds.

McCann has suggested that the current deal offered by Liverpool to Kane ‘is not suitable’, meaning he is yet to pen a new deal with the Reds, but he promised Rovers fans that Kane isn’t going anywhere else, it’s just down to Liverpool to secure his long-term Anfield future.
“It’ll be addressed one way or the other over the next two or three weeks,” said McCann. “I think they’re quite close [to agreeing a new deal]. I think Liverpool want Herbie to agree to a new deal. The deal at the minute is not suitable for Herbie and his agent. The reality of it is if he doesn’t sign that deal he’ll go back to Liverpool Under 23s. He ain’t going anywhere else.”
“If he does the sign the deal then he stays here until the end of the season. He ain’t going anywhere else. So we’re in the middle of it a little bit and we’re hoping it’ll get sorted. Financially for Doncaster Rovers it’s not a problem. Liverpool are not asking a lot more from us to keep Herbie here. That’s not the problem. It’s about Herbie and his representative agreeing that new deal with Liverpool,” he added.
