The former Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday striker is not best pleased with Sharp, the Sheffield United captain.

The former Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday striker, Grant Holt, has accused Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp of stealing his thunder.
Sharp scored twice as Sheffield United held Norwich to a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road in January, and famously celebrated the first of those by pulling out a concealed sock and placing it over his hand in reference to Mick Foley’s former wrestling persona, Mankind.
Foley was subsequently made aware of the incident and has since confirmed his appearance at the Blades’ Bramall Lane ground during Brentford’s visit next week.
Incidentally, the WWE legend will also attend a wrestling event hosted by Norwich and featuring Holt – who made his debut in the ring last year – in June.
And speaking to Talksport earlier, the Cumbrian – who spent part of his early career at United’s city rivals Sheffield Wednesday but is best known for his spell at Norwich, the club whose youngsters he now coaches – did not appear best pleased.
“Before anyone says it, we booked it before Billy Sharp even done it on the pitch,” Holt insisted.

“That was the most ironic thing. We booked Mick Foley two weeks before to come to Carrow Road to do this Fightmare 3 on June 2nd, and Billy Sharp then does ‘Mr Socko’ on the exact spot, mind, of where that ring’s going to be!”
Norwich currently lead third-place Sheffield United by four points at the top of the Championship, after the Blades were held to a 0-0 draw by Sheffield Wednesday on Monday.
