Newcastle United signed Grant Hanley from Blackburn Rovers during the previous transfer window.

Grant Hanley has told the Chronicle that he has found Newcastle United fans unbelievable since joining.
Hanley moved to Newcastle from Blackburn Rovers during the summer transfer window, and he has made a positive initial impression on Tyenside.
The powerful centre-back has already made five appearances for Newcastle, and he has been impressed by the support that he has received.

“You know what you get with the fans here – it’s every week. It is unbelievable really,” the centre-back said.
“So credit to them, they come in their numbers every week and you can always hear them. It’s nice for them especially to see three points.”
Newcastle have been backed by large numbers on their travels this season, and they also have the highest average home attendance in the Championship.

The Magpies supporters do not seem to have been put off by last season’s disappointing relegation, with their loyalty proving remarkable.
Newcastle supporters have had plenty to cheer this season already, as Rafael Benitez’s side are in good form.
Newcastle have won seven of their last nine Championship matches to move up to third in the standings.
The Magpies are back in action after the international break, when they take on Brentford.
