Grant Hall completed his first 90 minutes of the season as Queens Park Rangers lost 2-0 to Blackpool in the Carabao Cup.

Queens Park Rangers defender Grant Hall’s return to first-team action will serve as a welcome boost for the west Londoners.
The 26-year-old looked in good shape as he played the whole 90 minutes of QPR’s defeat to Blackpool on Tuesday.
Hall underwent surgery in February of this year to fix a knee injury, but now the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster is playing his way into first-team contention once more.
The Hoops have been weak at the back this season but have only conceded twice in their last five league games, so improvements are showing.

From Hall’s perspective, he will be up against Toni Leistner, Joel Lynch and Alex Baptiste for a starting berth at centre back.
Boss Steve McClaren has paired summer recruit Leistner with Lynch and, although the pair got off to a poor start, a steady partnership is developing.

Hall will need to focus on keeping himself strong and fit to be considered for regular selection and he will be a real plus if he can keep injury-free.
Leistner and Lynch have both been hit-and-miss so far this season, so a primed and ready alternative in Hall will give Rangers more options.

Hall we need more time and more minutes under his belt to get back to his best, but fans of the R’s can be boosted by his return.
The Hoops have games coming up against Swansea City, Reading and Derby County and Hall will want to be ready if called upon.
