Queens Park Rangers manager Steve McClaren remains confident that Grant Hall will be fit enough to return to pre-season training in July, after almost a year out injured

Queens Park Rangers defender Grant Hall probably feels like the forgotten man at Loftus Road.
The 26-year-old has missed nearly a year of action after persistent knee injuries ruled him out. Hall underwent surgery in February of this year in a bid to correct tendinitis, but set-backs meant the former Tottenham youngster has seen more of the physios than his team mates.
A fans’ favourite in W12, Hall will look to play his way into boss Steve McClaren’s plans for the new season, but only if he can convince the ex-Derby boss of his fitness. QPR are in need of defensive reinforcements – in particular at centre-back – and Hall’s return to action would be a boost for everyone at the club.

McClaren will look to do everything in his power to make sure Hall is ready for the new season, but wants to take it slow with him at the same time, according to West London Sport.
The 57-year-old said: “I’d just signed and was looking around the trading ground and Grant Hall was there. I was fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with him. He’s training through the summer, he’s rehabs gone well.

“It’s always difficult after a year out and we have to take it slowly with him, but I’m quite hopeful that on the first day of pre-season he’s going to be with the group.”
The former Birmingham and Swindon loanee has been with the west Londoners’ since 2015 and has made 77 appearances for Queen’s Park Rangers, scoring once. A key member of the first-team squad, Hall will be desperate to return to action at the start of the new campaign and QPR fans will be confident he can return to his best in no time.
