Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Granit Xhaka for Switzerland against France.

What’s the story?

Xhaka was in action for Switzerland in their Euro 2020 Round of 16 tie against France on Monday evening.

The 28-year-old Arsenal midfielder played well and was one of the best players on the pitch.

The former Basel star imposed himself in the middle of the park, played some lovely passes, and had one of his best games this year.

Xhaka also provided the assist for the third goal that Switzerland scored in the 90th minute.

The Swiss won the tie 5-4 on penalties after it ended 3-3 after extra time.

The midfielder took one shot which was not on target, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 92%, won two headers, took 102 touches, and made two tackles, three interceptions and one clearance.

What are Arsenal fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans were very impressed by the performance from Xhaka.

The Swiss is reportedly on his way to AS Roma, and some Arsenal fans want the Italian club to pay more than they plan/want to.

The Sun has claimed that Roma have had a bid of £13 million turned down by Arsenal.

Xhaka himself has hinted that he wants to work with Jose Mourinho at the Italian club.

The midfielder cost the Gunners £30 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2016, as reported by Sky Sports.
