Granit Xhaka has posted on his Instagram to the Arsenal fans that it ‘feels so good to be back’ after returning from injury.
The 29-year-old hasn’t played for Arsenal since their win in the North London derby in September when he injured his knee.
But now he is back on the training field ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Everton on Monday night and he posted this message:
Arsenal have probably missed a player of Xhaka’s presence during his absence, his ability to play with that aggression and get in the faces of the opposition.
Of course, Xhaka is nowhere near fit enough to start against Everton, but he will be hoping for those minutes.
Mikel Arteta’s side travel to Merseyside on the back of a defeat to Manchester United, but it’s a lot worse over at Goodison Park.
Everton are on an eight-game winless run in the league, hovering above the relegation zone, spent hundreds of millions over the years and find themselves going backwards.
What’s worse is that they have a Liverpool legend in charge to try and move the club forward.
Everton fans will want to see a reaction from their players after their thumping defeat to Liverpool, with Rafa Benitez and the board under huge pressure.
It would just be typical for Arsenal to hand the Toffees three points tonight and then tip the pressure back towards themselves again
