Harry Kane is closing in on a return for the Champions League final.

He made his return to Tottenham Hotspur training this week and expects to feature against Liverpool.

Ex Tottenham star Graham Roberts says he has spoken to Kane and told Sky Sports he is confident the striker will make a big impact.

Roberts said: “When he ran onto the pitch after [the game against Ajax] you thought he’s not far away now. I think he was disappointed he wasn’t on the bench for the semi-final.

“But they’ve given him a little longer and now he’s fit. He’s a big character and leads the line well for us and watch out Liverpool.”

Kane’s return causes Tottenham a little of a dilemma, albeit a positive one.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino needs to work out whether to start Kane, and if he does, at whose expense.

It complicates Liverpool’s preparation as they will be guessing and have to work on alternative defensive gameplans, for with and without Kane starting.
