Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli has a chance to kick on after Giovani Lo Celso’s injury.

Tottenham Hotspur will now be without new signing Giovani Lo Celso until the end of October after he picked up a hip injury on international duty.
Spurs brought in Lo Celso as their new playmaker, signing him on loan from Real Betis with a view to a permanent move, but he’s going to have to wait a while for his first start.
That’s a blow for Mauricio Pochettino, but may just present an opportunity for Dele Alli to really re-establish himself in the Spurs side.
Alli – on £100,000-a-week according to Spotrac – returned from injury as a substitute against Arsenal, and he will be hoping to get some playing time after the international break comes to an end.
The 23-year-old has been criticised for a patchy season last term, but he still ended up with seven goals and eight assists, showing he can still be productive when fit.
Alli will be looking to silence some of his doubters, and former Spurs hero Graham Roberts is backing him to become a key player for Pochettino once again.

After hearing the news about Lo Celso’s injury, Roberts has backed Alli to step up to the plate, predicting an ‘incredible’ season for the England international.
Roberts even thinks Alli can score 15 to 20 goals this season, which is a lot to live up to – but he certainly has the talent.
