Tottenham Hotspur may have had one eye on Gareth Bale’s performance last night as he played for Wales.

The Spurs winger started for his country as they travelled to take on Belgium, and Wales actually took a shock lead.

A stunning team goal saw Bale play in Harry Wilson for a shock opener as Wales conjured up a goal that many would be jealous of.

However, Kevin De Bruyne equalised, Thorgan Hazard made it 2-1 and Romelu Lukaku added a third as Belgium ran out 3-1 winners.

Wales’ outstanding team goal truly lit up the game, and Bale’s involvement again leaves Spurs fans wondering whether he should be starting for them.

Bale was recently in outstanding form, racking up six goals and two assists in six games before finding himself out of the team again.

The Real Madrid loanee wasn’t even brought off the bench against Aston Villa on Sunday, leaving some to wonder what the future holds.

Spurs legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to suggest that Bale ‘does not look bad’ despite being snubbed by Jose Mourinho on Sunday, seemingly feeling that he can offer similar quality to Spurs if kept in the side.
