Graham Roberts has said on Twitter that Ben White would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Tottenham star believes that White is a very good player and would make Spurs better.
Roberts made the comments about the former Leeds United loanee after the Brighton and Hove Albion defender was included in the 26-man England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
Tottenham have actually been linked with White.
Sky Sports reported in December 2020 that Tottenham were among the clubs who were monitoring the 23-year-old central defender.
The Sun reported in May that Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund want the youngster, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder.
Brighton are an established club in the Premier League.
However, if Spurs make a big offer, then it is hard to see how the Seagulls are going to resist it.
The defender himself could be tempted to leave Brighton and move to a bigger club such as Spurs, especially if he has a good European Championship with England.
Toby Alderweireld is not getting any younger, and Davinson Sanchez has not been a massive success.
The youngster made 36 appearances in the Premier League for Brighton this past season.
