Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon as they beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at home.

Spurs were in dire form entering the game, having lost to Liverpool, Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea with a series of dismal displays.

Harry Kane’s return certainly buoyed them against West Brom, and he opened the scoring in the second half by slotting home Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s pass.

Lucas Moura then found Son Heung-min to make it 2-0 just four minutes later, and Spurs saw out the game to seal a much-needed three points.

Jose Mourinho will be delighted with the return to victory, especially having seen Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura thrive upon their returns to the starting lineup.

There was no sign of Gareth Bale though, as the winger was not only not in the starting lineup, but he didn’t even come off the bench.

Bale has been struggling to find top form since returning to Spurs in September, and Sunday’s snub will be a frustration for him.

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts took to Twitter to call on Mourinho to give Bale more time on the pitch in order for him to achieve full fitness, believing that he needs 25 minutes a time as a substitute rather than justt 10 minutes – or in this case, no time at all.
