Graham Roberts has said on Twitter that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba should have been sent off against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The former Tottenham star believes that United midfielder Pogba should have been dismissed for an elbow on Spurs right-back Serge Aurier.

Following the Premier League game on Sunday, Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho said that the France international midfielder should have been dismissed for that ‘offence’, as quoted in The Mirror.

Roberts is of the same opinion, and he has urged Sky Sports News to discuss the incident during their ‘Ref Watch’ show today.

As common in the Premier League these days, there was VAR controversy during the game between Spurs and United.

Edinson Cavani had a goal ruled out in the first half after Scott McTominay was adjudged to have committed a foul on Son Heung-min.

In the end, United won the match 3-1, with the Red Devils stepping up their game in the second half.

United now look set to finish second in the Premier League, while Spurs still remain in the hunt for the Champions League places.
