Graham Roberts has praised Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier on Twitter for his performance against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The former Tottenham star believes that Dier was superb for Spurs in central defence, as the North London club got the better of the Baggies 1-0 away from home in the Premier League.

How did Eric Dier play against West Bromwich Albion?

Dier, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, has established himself as an important figure at the heart of the Tottenham back-line under head coach Jose Mourinho this season.

The 26-year-old had a very good game, as he made an early block and made a headed clearance off his own goal-line.

According to WhoScored, the England international had a pass accuracy of 74.6%, won six headers, took 73 touches, and made one interception and seven clearances.

Going strong

Tottenham may have left it late to pick up all three points from the match against West Brom, but at the end of the day, they got the job done.

One suspects that Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho will be pleased with the final result, especially as there is a two-week international break now and the team will be full of confidence heading into it.
