Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a transfer this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are struggling so far in the transfer market this summer, presently being the only team in the Premier League not to make a signing.

This is partly because they are looking for squad players rather than first team stars, as they already have an established team, and do not want to pay extortionate prices for additions who will not be starters.

While some fans are understandably getting restless as rivals add new faces, Spurs legend Graham Roberts says he believes the club are acting sensibly by not panic buying.

He admits to having been critical of the club in the past, and says conversations with head coach Mauricio Pochettino have left him feeling positive.

Writing on Twitter, Roberts says he believes Spurs have a unified approach behind the scenes and it will pay off.

Tottenham have just flown out on their pre-season tour to America and disappointingly do not have any new players to parade.

They have taken a number of youngsters who will be bidding to show they can develop into first team stars, and it is hard to imagine Tottenham won’t buy anybody before the transfer window closes.

So long as they do not panic like they did last summer to pay over the odds for Moussa Sissoko on transfer deadline day, but you would imagine the club learned a very tough lesson in doing so.
