Tottenham Hotspur will face Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Graham Roberts has taken to social networking site Twitter to state that the game against Bayer Leverkusen will be huge for Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier.
Kyle Walker is the first-choice right-back at Tottenham at the moment, but the England international has not travelled with the squad to Germany, as reported by The Hertfordshire Mercury.
This means that Trippier is likely to start at right-back for Spurs against Bayer in the Champions League Group E game at the BayArena on Tuesday evening.
Former Tottenham and Rangers defender Roberts has stated on Twitter that the match against Bayer will be huge for Trippier.
The former England international has also sent messages of support to Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld.
The 27-year-old Belgium international centre-back was stretched off with a leg injury during the Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted as saying by Sky Sports that the injury is not a big issue, and that they are still waiting for the result of the scan.
