The Tottenham Hotspur forward has been the subject of much discussion in another busy week of football.

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to have his say regarding Rio Ferdinand’s opinion of Harry Kane.

The former Manchester United defender was part of the punditry team for Spurs’ clash with Real Madrid earlier this week and he suggested that Kane should be pushing for a pay rise at the club where he continues to score for fun.

“If I’m a Tottenham Hotspur fan right now, I’m standing outside Mr Levy’s office saying…pay Kane the money,” Ferdinand said.

However, Roberts had his own take on the situation and expressed it on social media on Wednesday morning.

“Not everyone may be as fixated on money than being where they want to be as certain players,” Roberts wrote. “Don’t worry, Daniel knows!

“Harry Kane will do fantastic, money wise, at Spurs. At (a) club he wants to be at, loves the place, wants to win for Spurs not others.”

He signed off by tagging in Ferdinand, and it is clear the two men have very different opinions of the situation, with the ex-Tottenham man thinking the love of the game, and of certain clubs, should mean more than pay rise.

Kane has been in outstanding form for Tottenham yet again this season and, while he did not get on the score sheet against Real, his overall performance spoke volumes for his growing confidence and innate talent.
