The Tottenham Hotspur striker is undoubtedly one of the world’s best.
Radio presenter Goergie Bingham claimed on Twitter last night that it might be in Tottenham’s best interest to sell Harry Kane for an astronomical fee this summer, in an effort to fund a big spending spree, but Graham Roberts strongly disagreed with her suggestion.
The 25-year-old is arguably the best out-and-out striker on the planet, and he is undoubtedly Spurs’ most important player, having chalked up 164 goals in 252 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit.
He is still under contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2024, so the Lilywhites hold all of the cards.
Liverpool sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last year for around £142 million, and proceeded to strengthen their team beyond all recognition, with the signings of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri.
So could Tottenham take a leaf out of the Reds’ book?
Not according to Roberts.

Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he has to intention of selling Kane, and unless Tottenham receive a world record bid for the striker, he will surely remain in north London for the foreseeable future.
