Tottenham Hotspur reportedly turned down Watford’s bid for Danny Rose on transfer deadline day.

Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Watford had bids for Danny Rose turned down by Tottenham Hotspur.

As reported by The Independent, Watford had a bid of £14m for the England international left-back rejected by Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Former Spurs star Roberts believes that the Hornets did not make a good-enough offer for Rose, and has suggested that the 29-year-old is worth at least £30-£40 million.

Rose is a very good left-back, and while the England international will be disappointed that he could not secure a move to a club in England this summer, there is still time for him to find a team in mainland Europe.

The Englishman staying at Spurs is only going to make the North London outfit a better team.

True, Ryan Sessegnon, who joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side from Fulham on transfer deadline day, is a very good left-back, but he is only 19 years of age and could learn a lot from Rose.
