Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Tottenham Hotspur could play Fulham in midweek, not Aston Villa.
Tottenham are scheduled to play Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
However, according to well-known and well-respected journalist David Ornstein in The Athletic this morning, Spurs could play Fulham instead.
Villa had to field their young players against Liverpool at Villa Park in the third round of the FA Cup last Friday due to the first team self-isolating because of coronavirus.
Tottenham’s Premier League game against Fulham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month had to be postponed because of an outbreak of coronavirus at the Cottagers, as reported by Sky Sports.
Ornstein has reported in The Athletic this morning that the Premier League are exploring the idea of Spurs playing Fulham this week and not Villa.
Former Spurs star Roberts has given his take on the speculation, and he seems to be in favour of the idea.
Spurs are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 16 matches, four points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played 17 games.
