Tottenham beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Tottenham Hotspur edged a narrow Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at Wembley against Chelsea.
Spurs won 1-0, with Harry Kane scoring a VAR-assisted penalty.
After the goal it was all Chelsea, with Tottenham made to work hard to keep a clean sheet.
Former Tottenham captain praised the work rate of Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko, as well as the whole defence, in helping to shut Chelsea out.
The defensive side of Alli’s game often goes unnoticed or is not evident at all, but last night he really stuck to his task.
The player who really deserves praise who Roberts did not highlight was goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, who was equal to everything which Chelsea threw at him.
He was an assured presence and helped the entire defence stay calm and see the game out. He will have to be at his best again in the second leg at Stamford Bridge.
