The Tottenham Hotspur hitman’s injury is not as bad as first feared.

Graham Roberts is thrilled with the news that the “top class” Harry Kane will not be injured for as long as initially expected.

The Tottenham Hotspur hitman was expected to miss up to two months of the season after suffering ankle ligament damage in the 1-0 win over Sunderland 10 days ago.

By virtue of the fact he has netted over 60 times in two years as an established Spurs player, the news was a huge blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

With that being said, the Argentine manager confirmed a little earlier this week, via BBC Sport, that the scans on his ankle proved “much better than expected”.

Pochettino did not reveal when the Lilywhites could expect to welcome the 23-year-old back into the fold, but if it is earlier than two months then it is excellent news.

Roberts seemed delighted with the development on Twitter, and praised the England marksman’s talent and attitude with two words which more or less sum him up.

He has only missed two games, but Spurs, to their credit, have coped well on both occasions – and it’s largely down to one man.

Pochettino’s side beat Middlesbrough 2-1 on Saturday courtesy of a brace from Son Heung-min, before the South Korean forward added to his haul on Tuesday by inspiring his team to a 1-0 victory at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
