Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Danny Rose’s comments about Tottenham Hotspur.

Rose, on loan at Newcastle United from Premier League rivals Tottenham at the moment, has suggested that he wished he could leave Spurs on a permanent basis a few years ago when Kyle Walker moved away to Manchester City, as quoted in Football.London.

Former Tottenham star Roberts has given his take on the comments from the 29-year-old England international left-back.

Leaving Tottenham Hotspur

That Rose was sent out on loan to Newcastle in January suggests that the Englishman does not have a future at Tottenham.

The 29-year-old has not been in great form in recent times, but he can certainly get back to his best, and perhaps Newcastle will offer him a permanent contract this summer.

Football in England is suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen if and when the season will get back underway.

While Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table, Newcastle are unlikely to get relegated to the Championship.
