Tottenham Hotspur are pretty much guaranteed a place in the Premier League top four following Arsenal’s draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Arsenal’s failure to win against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday evening.

Arsenal have played out a 1-1 draw with Brighton at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

The result means that the Gunners’ hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League are all but over.

Unai Emery’s side are now three points behind fourth-placed and bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur with just one more round of matches left this season.

Spurs have an eight-goal advantage over Arsenal in terms of goal difference, and it is hard to see the Gunners overhaul that in their next match.

Former Tottenham star Roberts has thanked Brighton and their manager Chris Hughton for holding Arsenal to a draw and pretty much ascertaining Spurs’ place in the Champions League next season.

Hughton played for Tottenham from 1977 until 1990 and was also a coach at the North London outfit.
