Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter in order to react to Wednesday’s 2-0 home win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
Spurs snapped a poor run of Premier League form by hammering Stoke City 5-1 on Saturday afternoon, and were looking to build on that against Brighton.
Tottenham were far from at their best, but took a first half lead when Serge Aurier’s deep cross looped over Mat Ryan and into the back of the net for a fluke opener.

Tomer Hemed could and arguably should have brought Brighton level in the second half, before Son Heung-min’s header from Christian Eriksen’s free kick handed Spurs a late second.
Spurs appear to be getting back on track, but face a tough trip to Manchester City over the weekend, with club hero Graham Roberts focusing just on Wednesday’s performance for now.
Roberts took to Twitter after the game to claim that Tottenham were not at their best, but it was the result that matters as Spurs attempted to break down a resilient Brighton side.
Roberts added praise for two players, hailing Christian Eriksen for a ‘very good’ performance, and adding that it was nice to see Erik Lamela in action, 14 months since his last Premier League start.
