Tottenham Hotspur recorded a third successive Premier League win on Tuesday with a 2-0 victory away to bottom-of-the-table Swansea City.

Fernando Llorente’s timely first Premier League goal came against his former club on 12 minutes, before resurgent Dele Alli made the points safe late on.

It was Spurs’ 10th goal in their last three games following on from wins over Burnley and Southampton and the victory took Tottenham above Arsenal into fifth in the standings.

The Lilywhites won five of their six Premier League games over the notoriously difficult month of December – a 4-1 reverse at Manchester City being the only blemish.

And Graham Roberts has paid tribute to his old side’s form on Twitter afterwards.

Top four is very much the aim for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and how they fare over the next six weeks or so could determine where they’ll finish.
