Mauricio Pochettino has helped develop a number of top England talent during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Graham Roberts has seemingly been left unimpressed and dismissed the thought that Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Gareth Southgate to be their next manager if Mauricio Pochettino decides to leave.
The Daily Star claims that Spurs want England manager Southgate to be the first-choice replacement for Pochettino, who has had an indifferent start to the new campaign.
It has been an up and down few weeks for Pochettino and his players, but they ended it with a deserved and hard-fought win against Southampton on Saturday.
But as the rumours spread about Southgate, club legend Roberts urged people not to ‘jump on the bandwagon’ of those Southagate reports, as he seemingly dismissed it.

It would be very surprising if Spurs did move for someone like Southgate, but before anything like that happens, Pochettino has to leave his job.
That in itself is unlikely because he has a strong relationship with the Spurs board, the players, the fans and the club in itself.
Whilst Pochettino has had to deal with a number of off-field issues, the work he has done at the club over the years has been quite remarkable.
Plus, Southgate himself is building his own legacy with England, as he has guided them to the semi-finals of the World Cup, and is trying to nurture some of England’s best talents.
So, the report regarding Southgate and Tottenham should be and will be dismissed by Spurs fans, who will be looking forward to their Champions League tie against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
