Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly being targeted by their Premier League rivals.

Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to react to the reports coming from The Sun this week which suggested that Chelsea were planning to try and lure Mauricio Pochettino away from Tottenham during the summer.

Pochettino has done a superb job during his time in charge of Spurs. Tottenham ended their year at Wembley by wrapping up third place in the Premier League, while they also performed well in the Champions League and the FA Cup.

The Sun suggests that the Argentinian has become somewhat frustrated with Daniel Levy over potential transfer budgets and is now aware that the Blues are keen to tempt him away.

The Sun adds that Antonio Conte is facing the sack after Chelsea take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final, and Roman Abramovich sees Pochettino as the kind of manager who could have the long-term vision that the club needs.

Given what Pochettino has built at Tottenham, it would be a huge shock if he felt tempted by the chance to make the move to Stamford Bridge, and Spurs legend Roberts believes that there is simply no way that the 46-year-old will make the switch, especially given that Tottenham are the ones who can offer him Champions League football next season.

Here is what Roberts posted on social media in response to the reports…

While Roberts is probably right to be confident that Pochettino will have little desire to join Chelsea, Daniel Levy arguably needs to avoid becoming complacent as a job may come along in the future that may be much more difficult to turn down if the former Saints boss feels that Spurs are threatening to simply stand still.
