Spurs, who had taken the lead through a Tanguy Ndombele strike in the first half, were reduced to 10 men during the first period, but that didn’t stop Kane from putting his team back ahead after Hugo Lloris’ error allowed Danny Ings to equalise.
After the game, club legend Roberts was full of praise after watching Kane’s performance, as he also lauded midfield duo Harry Winks and Ndombele.
Despite all the drama surrounding Spurs off the field of play, they are sitting in fourth place after seven games and they have a huge Champions League clash to look forward too.
On Tuesday night, they will take on German giants Bayern Munich on home soil, as they bid to add more confidence into their team.
Three points here would well and truly change the atmosphere around the club, and perhaps bring the best out of some underperforming star players.
After all that has happened off the field this summer, and during the start of the new campaign, the club needs something to cheer about.
