Tottenham Hotspur have won against Leicester City.
Graham Roberts has praised Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld on Twitter for his performance against Leicester City.
Alderweireld featured for Tottenham in their 2-0 win against Leicester away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Belgium international central defender played well and was a rock at the back for Spurs.
According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old had a pass accuracy of 86.5%, won three headers, made one interception and six clearances, and attempted one dribble.
Former Tottenham defender Roberts was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Alderweireld, stating on Twitter that the defender was “immense”.
Roberts has also praised Tottenham midfielders Dele Alli and Harry Winks for their performances against Leicester.
The win against Leicester means that Tottenham are now third in the Premier League table with 36 points from 16 matches, just six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are very much in the race for the Premier League title this season.
Spurs will face Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
