Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s draw with Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw with City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

Spurs had to come twice from behind, and the Citizens also had a late goal overruled by a a VAR decision.

Former Tottenham star Roberts was following the match, and he believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side did well to hold on in the second half.

Roberts has also praised Erik Lamela, who can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder, and defenders Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez for their performances against City.

Lamela scored for Tottenham in the 23rd minute, looked very likely, and was a problem for the City defenders.

The 27-year-old Argentina international also provided the corner which was turned in by Lucas Moura in the second half.

Alderweireld could have done better for Sergio Aguero’s goal in the first half, but the Belgian international defender made some very important challenges and interceptions.

As for Sanchez, the defender did not look at ease in the first half, but he did well in the second period.
