Former Tottenham Hotspur star rebukes pundit.

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur captain Graham Roberts has rebuked pundit Paul Merson over his claims Mauricio Pochettino could leave.
Merson told Sky Sports The Debate (14/5) that he expects in demand manager Pochettino to start considering a move to Real Madrid.

Roberts is a continually vocal representative of the Tottenham fan base and he slapped down Merson’s insinuation that the Argentine could depart Spurs.
He took a jab at Merson’s often flaky predictions for Sky, which have often seen the ex-Arsenal player pick against Spurs.
Pochettino’s Tottenham ended the season trophyless again and the knock on the club is that they fell short once again and are struggling to reach the next level.
Pochettino expressed his frustration at the club’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United but this was more out of exasperation in the heat of the moment than any sudden urge to move.
Spurs are on the verge of moving into their new stadium next season and this is an exciting era for the club for Pochettino to want to stick around for.
Given Real Madrid’s hire and fire policy, Pochettino would be taking a big gamble to walk away now.
