The former Tottenham defender was impressed with the performance of Sanchez against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this week.
The 21-year-old defender started the match in Germany on Tuesday evening and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Spurs won 2-1.
Roberts was following the match, and he was blown away by the performance of Sanchez, who joined Tottenham from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
Sanchez seems to have settled into life at Tottenham just fine and has produced some wonderful performances for Spurs so far this season.
The Colombia international centre-back is still very young, and he can only progress and develop in the coming years.
Playing regularly for Tottenham is only going to make the youngster a better player.
Spurs have progressed to the last-16 stage of the Champions League as group winners and are also aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
