Tottenham Hotspur slipped back down to third in the Premier League table last night after Manchester City beat Liverpool.

They sit just six points behind the Reds in the table, with 17 games left to play.

In the build up to the game between Liverpool and City, Tottenham were glossed over in the television coverage, with the match billed as a title decider.

Tottenham are a spanner in the works for both Liverpool and City, and could upset both teams.

Former Tottenham captain Graham Roberts commented on Twitter after the game, to express his disappointment with Sky pundit Gary Neville.

Roberts hammered home his point that Tottenham are in a far better position than Neville’s old club Manchester United.

United have picked up form under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, winning four of their last four games.

That could come to an abrupt end in a fortnight when the Premier League resumes, and Tottenham host United at Wembley.

Roberts will have to hope his taunt does not come back to haunt them.
