The former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has hit out at another ex-Spurs player on Twitter.
Appearing as a guest on 5 Live Sport on Friday, Jermaine Jenas urged the current Tottenham midfielder, Dele Alli, to ‘move on’ over his treatment at the hands of the Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho.
Alli has made just half of Mourinho’s four matchday squads this season and was subbed on each of his two starts.
In the meantime, Tottenham have re-added Gareth Bale to their attacking options, leaving the England international with even more of an uphill battle to reclaim his place.
Roberts, though, wants Alli to stay and fight for his place.
Responding to Jenas on Twitter earlier, the 61-year-old wrote:
Alli’s five-year Tottenham career has gone largely to plan until now, yielding 117 goals or assists in 224 games.
Only 12 of those have arrived under Mourinho, however.

Tottenham fans – what should Spurs and Alli do about the England international’s future?
