Engand’s youngsters triumphed in the under-20 World Cup, beating Venezuela 1-0 in a closely contested final yesterday.
Among the key players at the tournament was Josh Onomah, who thrived in a central midfield role which he has not been given an opportunity in for Tottenham.

The youngster has struggled in his cameo appearances out on the wing, and his displays in Korea should inject fresh impetus into his club career.
He was congratulated by Spurs legend Graham Roberts, who remarked that it was easy to see why club boss Mauricio Pochettino retains his faith in him.
Onomah will need a rest now after a long season but he will have to return ready to make an instant impression if he is going to crack the Tottenham first team in 2017/18.
Pre-season is his best opportunity to make an impression and stake a claim, and if he can make an early impact and continue his international form, then he will stand a chance of convincing his club boss that he should be more involved.
