Tottenham Hotspur beat Inter Milan 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League hopes are still in tact after a 1-0 home win over Inter Milan on Wednesday night, with Christian Eriksen bagging a late goal.
Spurs went into the game knowing that they needed to win in order to keep their hopes of qualification for the knockout stages alive, and faced a tough task against a gritty Inter side.
It looked like being a frustrating evening for Spurs as they struggled to break Luciano Spalletti’s side down, but the winner did finally come with 10 minutes to play at Wembley Stadium.
Moussa Sissoko went on a lung-busting run forward into the Inter box, laid the ball on for Dele Alli in the middle of the area, and rather than go for goal, he swivelled and found Eriksen to smash high into the net.
Spurs held on for the final 10 minutes to claim the win, giving themselves a chance of qualification, but they must still go to the Camp Nou and get a result against Barcelona in order to do it.
Eriksen may have been the goal hero, but praise has again been coming in for midfielder Sissoko, whose surprising run of great form continued with another fine showing on Wednesday night.

The Frenchman has struggled with Spurs since his 2016 move from Newcastle, but has been a player reborn this season, and earned praise from Tottenham legend Graham Roberts after the game.
Roberts took to Twitter to offer a three-word verdict on Sissoko, stating that it was ‘another quality performance’, whilst also praising Eriksen and praying for the right result against Barcelona next month.
